T-Land.

One of the longest and most perfect lefts in Indonesia. Besialau/T-land/Nemberala left is the main surf break. It is a left hand reef break sent from heaven! Imagine a 600ft-1000ft long ride. It can be surfed from 2ft-15ft and holds it’s shape like no other wave. A deep reef bottom makes it super forgiving and allows it to be surfed on any tide.

The Boomie

A section of reef creating a right/left breaking wave in a deep water channel. The Bommie is a fast fun wave more manageable than a lot of the barreling waves found in Indonesia. A short boat ride from the beach (organised by us) and you will be catching bomb’s that you will remember for the rest of your life. Good low tide spot and handles big swell.

Boa.

This intense right hander will provide you with the barrels you have been looking for. A fast wave with different sections, starts off with a fast take off and tube section which then opens up into a thick down the line wall. Easy beach access (25 minutes by scooter) makes Boa a good option for early morning sessions before any kinds of winds pick up.

THE WAVES

When coming to Rote with the intention to surf, everyone can find what they are looking for. The most famous waves wave would be T-land (Besialu Reef). T-land is a long left hander with three main sections that work best with the trade winds and on all tides. The best time of the year to surf T-land and the many other breaks in this area is usually around March to November when the wind is offshore.
There are many other waves (lefts and rights) breaking along Nembrala coastline as well as in Bo’a and the uninhabited islands nearby which are accessible by boat. There´s waves for all levels, from begginners to advanced surfers.
SEASON
Throughout the year the land transforms from lush green vegetation to golden rocky landscapes.
its “dry” season beginning in April to November and “wet” season stretching through the remaining months of November to March.
The Surfers season starts as the trade winds turn offshore from April to November.

Experience one of the new untouched frontiers when you dive Rote Indonesia. Rote is home to a diverse array of dive sites all around its expansive coastline, combined with a handful of offshore islands, all bursting with new spots to explore. Despite the prevailing south-west swell in dry season, there is always somewhere to go within an hour’s boat ride from Nemberala, and clients can add diving to the fantastic selection of activities that already exist on this tropical island jewel.

As well as being the ideal way for surfers to occupy those small swell or flat days, it is also an excellent spot to develop your diving credentials
